Previous Events and Activities
April 23 International Actions
International
Wear a green or black ribbon in memory of those who have died as a result of toxic AIDS drugs and/or medical neglect brought about by the AIDS misdiagnosis, to remember parents forced to poison their children or be separated from them, and in memory of positive people jailed because of their sexuality. Obtain ribbons in bulk, give them to friends to wear.
International Actions with a local focus - suggestions for local activists
Act now to inform your local health clinics about HIV/AIDS tests, diagnosis and medications
Act now to inform your local AIDS advocacy organizations and NGOs about HIV/AIDS tests, diagnosis and medications
April 23 National Actions
U.S. National Petitions (proposed - will be implemented soon after April 23)
A petition to the US Food and Drug Administration regarding the non-specificity of HIV and PCR (viral load) testing, demanding "truth in testing" - making it a requirement that all test labs reveal to those being tested that the tests do not measure any virus and use an arbitrary measure that varies from test to test.
A petition to the US Food and Drug Administration regarding HIV/AIDS medication side effects
A petition to the William Gates Foundation to stop promoting toxic HIV/AIDS drugs in Africa and begin funding infrastructure projects that promote sanitation, clean water, and nutritious, locally-grown food.
A petition to "AIDSTruth" and the Treatment Action Campaign to stop targeting AIDS Rethinkers
April 23 Regional and Local Actions, Parties and Gatherings
New York City
Wednesday, April 23, 6 to 9 p.m. BAR 13 (rooftop) - 13th Street at University Place, Manhattan
Meet the Rethinkers you thought only existed in cyberspace, on the roof at Bar 13, where drinks are two-for-one until 8 p.m. Cash bar. No food, but feel free to find each other at the Vietnamese restaurant below for food and conversation beforehand. This is just a social event, so NO: protesting, proselytizing, rudeness, distribution of flyers, or arguing. If anyone protests us, buy them a drink! Heck, you don't even have to talk about AIDS. Just enjoy yourself and BE yourself, with other free thinkers. Show up with your black ribbon, or, alternatively, a safety pin with nothing on it. Look for other people so adorned, or Beth Ely in a red suit and her trademark sunglasses.
San Diego
San Diego Rethinkers to donate books for informed consent, "Non-Thinker" awards, hold a candlelight vigil and...party!
Coordinator: Michael Geiger, HEAL-San Diego, mgeiger@simplyweb.net.
| 10 AM: |
Help donate a collection of leading Rethinkers' books and videos to the library at the San Diego Gay and Lesbian Center, 3909 Centre Street, Hillcrest. |
| 2 PM: |
Join a caravan delivering the first annual, satirical "AIDS NonThinker" awards. Several people have distinguished their service to HIV/AIDS dogma by branding San Diegans as HIV positive without their informed consent as to the flaws of HIV tests; failing to disclose drug company conflicts of interest while enrolling persons as human guinea pigs for HIV drugs; and promoting stress, fear, shame, and hopelessness upon the local gay community. These are:
- Terry Cunningham, chief of HIV-AIDS Services, San Diego County;
- Constance Benson, director, UCSD AntiViral Research Center;
- Michael Portantino, publisher, San Diego Gay and Lesbian Times.
|
| 6 PM: |
Enjoy a "Celebration of Freedom from AIDS Dogma" dinner at "MO's" on University Avenue in Hillcrest. Celebrate and give thanks for Rethinkers' freedom from the tyranny of HIV/AIDS dogma. |
| 9 PM: |
None of us are fully free until all our brothers and sisters are also free. So please join our candlelight vigil at Uptown Center, to remember those who have passed and those who still suffer from choices made under the duress of scientifically unsound beliefs.
Do-It-Yourself: Place donations of a "Rethinkers Collection" of books and videos everywhere - every public and university library and gay/lesbian center. Easy access to this knowledge provides true informed consent, dignity, and health freedom. |
New Videos and Websites
In Commemoration of Rethinking AIDS Day
I'm Free
An absolutely beautiful video documenting the struggle of so-called "HIV-positive" people to live normal, healthy lives without taking toxic HIV/AIDS drugs. The video also reveals the parallel struggle of scientists, health professionals, and writers who dare to challenge the HIV AIDS paradigm and face the wrath of AIDS Fascism - public denunciation by the mainstream media, loss of their careers, and coordinated, mean-spirited Internet attacks by an international group of "true believers" to stifle the kind of debate that should be central to all science.

InTime TV Network - Interview with Dr. Andrew Maniotis
InTime TV Network (ITTV Network) presents this "SPECIAL REPORT" segment of the television talk show, "On the Edge" with ITTV Network's Medical/Science Liaison and talk show Host, Dr. Jonas Moses. In this episode, Dr. Moses interviews Dr. Andrew Maniotis about infectious disease, viruses and retroviruses, beginning with a review of Koch's Postulates. In the ensuing conversation Dr. Maniotis uses AIDS as an example of the limitations of the Postulates when considering retroviruses such as HIV. Furthermore, Dr. Maniotis outlines the less-discussed hypotheses for what causes AIDS, aside from HIV infection. The complete, one-hour program (with commercial breaks) can also be viewed at www.intimetv.com where it is archived along with all of the previously-aired episodes of "On the Edge." Dr. Moses presents new, On the Edge programs weekly, live and broadcast world-wide on digital broadband (HDTV). The shows can, as well, be viewed on the Internet (www.intimetv.com), on cell phones, PDAs and as downloadable podcasts. For more information, please visit the On the Edge blogsite, at http://www.jonasmoses.blogspot.com/

The HIV-Aids Titanic hits its own iceberg
Rethinking AIDS Day is the 23rd of April. Just one day after Earth Day, celebrated on 22 April to promote the need for reexamining our relationship with the environment, Rethinking AIDS Day prompts us to critically examine the widely held idea that the immune weakness we see in AIDS is caused by an infective virus.
According to HEAL, "Rethinking AIDS Day (RAD) is April 23rd to remember (not celebrate) the anniversary of the infamous Gallo/Heckler news conference announcing the 'probable' cause of AIDS had been discovered. By the time the science was published and found wanting, it was too late."
