Rethinking AIDS Releases a New Brochure on AIDS TestingSAN FRANCISCO (Rethinking AIDS) May 23, 2009
— The brochure outlines how tests for HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) or AIDS have no scientific basis and are useless as a diagnostic tool determining who will get AIDS, and describes the dangers of coming up positive on the tests.
Hundreds of thousands are administered HIV tests worldwide by public health agencies, hospitals, and clinics every year. The spurious tests are used to inform patients whether they are 'HIV negative,' or 'HIV positive,' in which case they are told they have a fatal disease (AIDS), and must begin a regime of dangerous medicines.
The brochure goes on to describe the side effects of the AIDS medicines, and explains briefly why and how incorrect mainstream AIDS theories and practices have remained embedded in our medical system.
The content of the brochure has been approved by the Rethinking AIDS board of directors, and is illustrated by R. Crumb
, the celebrated counter culture cartoonist. Crumb is known for Mr. Natural
, the Keep on Truckin
comic, and Fritz the Cat
In a handwritten letter to journalist Celia Farber
, Crumb recently expressed his thoughts about AIDS:
"This whole H.I.V./AIDS thing has taken all of us into a dark, sinister, creepy, dismal swamp of muck and mire. It can make you crazy. I understand more and more why part of you just wants out of there, out of that quicksand. The whole thing is so terribly NEGATIVE. It's all about the worst side of human nature, the swarmy deceptiveness, the opportunism..."
"It's important to try to stay SANE in this battle for truth and justice. There are other, positive things in life, things that mitigate this grim endeavor to find the truth about things and untangle it from the lies and the wars. There's also beauty, and there is love, and compassion, the spiritual quest (though the spiritual quest is hopelessly bound up with truth and justice). We must all try to stay healthy and balanced so as not to be pulled under by all this negativity, this ugliness, this fear and horror."

*Rethinking AIDS board member.Rethinking AIDS: The Group for the Scientific Reappraisal of the HIV/AIDS Hypothesis ("RA" or "the Group") was formed in 1991 to express the concerns of a growing number of renowned scientists and medical doctors about HIV research and the resulting human rights abuses. In 1995, by a letter published in Science, the Group called for a thorough reappraisal of the existing evidence for and against the HIV/AIDS hypothesis and recommended that critical epidemiological studies be undertaken.
Among RA's founders and key members are University of Toronto professor emeritus and former cancer researcher Dr. Etienne de Harven; Harvard microbiologist Dr. Charles Thomas; 1993 Nobel laureate for chemistry Dr. Kary Mullis; Nature/Biotechnology co-founder Dr. Harvey Bialy; University of California at Berkeley molecular biologist Dr. Peter Duesberg and the late Yale mathematician Dr. Serge Lang, both members of the National Academy of Sciences; physicist Eleni Papadopulos-Eleopulos of the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia; and Glasgow University professor emeritus of public health and World Health Organization consultant Dr. Gordon Stewart.
